THE M-RESIDENCE
The project deals with a two-bedroom apartment renovation of a three-level apartment block situated quite close to Naoussa town on Paros Island. A new space allocation has been proposed and eventually assimilated with a view to redefining the relation between the living room and the kitchen.
The 53sq.m apartment has on the same level two bedrooms, one bathroom and a common space for the living room and the kitchen, separated with two extended steps. The veranda offers a distant view to the picturesque Naoussa town harbor.
The main objective has been to redefine the space functions relations with subtle alterations of the interior walls. Enlarging the kitchen and shortening the bathroom has given a more proper analogy among all space areas, underscoring the overriding importance for a summer place of the need for a commonly shared space for the living room and the kitchen.
The color palette has been using earth colors as well as blues and azures. Oak wardrobe doors and bedroom heads as well as natural straw wall coating has been recruited to endow the apartment design simplicity.
